       strangé is the collaborative effort of two sisters based in brooklyn. raised in 90’s miami, we grew up idolizing the culture of excess that dominated south beach. we were drawn to the confident, glamorous women proudly parading their bodies in skin-tight dresses and shiny bold accessories.                                           as latinas, we were also part of a deeply religious culture, that was no less excessive in its display of devotion. catholic iconography and symbolism left a deep impression on us but we're able to dissociate the imagery from the spiritual significance and reinterpret it to create modern accessories.                                         you’ll see these influences in the wu-tang rosary roach clip  and the satin back pack with rhinestone straps that sparkle on your skin as you sin. we’re attracted to the idea of both sides coexisting; lightness and darkness.                                                            we made this collection because these are pieces we love to wear and we know that so many people would look too good in it! we want it to be confidently worn anywhere, with anything, by anyone!
